Tenure of Engagement:

The training period will be for a period of 2 (Two) years. The trainee shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Manager/Jr. Manager (Scale I) on completion of the training period and subject to satisfactory work performance and/or any other criteria as may be decided by the Company and shall be governed by the prevailing rules and regulations as applicable to other Officers of the Company.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age: 18 years & Maximum Age: 30 years

The upper age limit will be relaxable for SC, ST candidates by 5 years and. For candidates belonging to PwBD category having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years‟ relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates having Diploma in Mechanical /Production Engineering/ Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering in relevant position as mentioned in notification.

Pay Package/Remuneration:

Selected Candidate will undergo training for a period 02 years at any NTPC sites/stations and will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 24,000/- per month. On successful completion of training, these candidates will be absorbed in the open pay scale of Rs. 24000-3%- (W7 Grade). The final place of posting will be allocated after successful completion of the training.

Documents to be submitted by candidates at the time of filling the application form: 

i) Appropriate certificate in support of Date of Birth

ii) Candidates are required to fill all the details on-line and upload all the relevant documents/ certificates as per the requirement

v) If you have Post qualification work experience certificate/s from previous / current employer. Where current employment certificate is not produced, the Offer of current appointment, Employee ID proof and latest pay slip should be compulsorily enclosed. 

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates will have to undergo 2 stages of Online Test (Computer Based Test). The selection shall be on the basis of the shortlisting of the candidates based on Written test score in concerned discipline and interview.

1st stage online: In 1st stage Aptitude Test (120 multiple choice questions) covering General English, Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning will be conducted. The duration of the test will be 02 hours. Each questions carries 1 mark, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer. The candidate will be shortlisted @ 1:10 for 2nd Stage Online Test (Technical). 1st Stage is only qualifying in nature. 

2nd stage online test: In 2nd stage, Online Technical Test (120 multiple choice questions) in respective discipline will be conducted. The duration of the test will be 02 hours. Each question carries 1 mark, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer. Qualifying marks shall be 30%.
