Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AIC) has been formed under the aegis of the Government of India and promoted by 6 Public Sector Companies as a specialty Crop Insurance provider to the Indian farming community. AIC was incorporated on 20th December 2002 with an Authorized Share Capital of INR 1500 crore and a Paid-up Capital of INR 200 crore. AIC commenced business operations from 1st April 2003, by taking over Crop Insurance operations from its major Promoter, General Insurance Corporation of India Ltd.

Introduction:

AIC invites applications from Indian Citizens for recruitment of 30* (Thirty) MANAGEMENT TRAINEES in the discipline of Rural Management.

Tenure of Engagement:

The training period will be for a period of 1 (ONE) year. The trainee shall be eligible for the post of Administrative Officer (Scale I) on completion of the training period and subject to satisfactory work performance and/or any other criteria as may be decided by the Company and shall be governed by the prevailing rules and regulations as applicable to other Officers of the Company.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age: 21 years & Maximum Age: 30 years

i.e., a candidate must have been born not earlier than 2 nd June 1993 and not later than 1st June 2002 (both dates inclusive).

The upper age limit will be relaxable for SC, ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years. For candidates belonging to PwBD category having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years‟ relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above.

Educational Qualifications:

Graduation in Agriculture Marketing/ Agriculture Marketing & Cooperation/ Agriculture Business Management/ Rural Management with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST – 55%) in aggregate from University / Institution recognized by the Govt. of India/Govt. Bodies/AICTE.

OR

Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST – 55%) in aggregate from University / Institution recognized by the Govt. of India/Govt. Bodies/AICTE with 2 years full time Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in any of the following (with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST – 55%) in aggregate from University / Institution recognized by the Govt. of India/Govt. Bodies/AICTE): –

➢ MBA- Rural Management/Agriculture Marketing/ Agri Business Management/ Agri-Business and Rural Development

➢ Post Graduate Diploma- Rural Management/ Agri Business Management (PGDM- ABM)/ Agriculture Marketing

➢ Post Graduate Degree- Agriculture Marketing/ Agri Business Management/ Rural Management.

Pay Package/Remuneration:

  • The selected candidates would be paid a consolidated pay of Rs. 60,000/- p.m. for the one year of training. After completion of training the salary will be converted to CTC and pay package will be increased.

Documents to be submitted by candidates at the time of filling the application form: 

i) 10th Standard marks card (as proof of date of birth)

ii) Upper Mentioned Degree certificate 

iii) All semester marks cards

iv) Caste /Tribe/ Community/ Disability/Economic status certificate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS respectively. Candidates claiming reservation under any of the above categories are required to submit the certificate in the prescribed format. The formats of various certificates are provided as link to the advertisement. Candidates belonging to OBC category should produce the certificate issued on or after 01.06.2022.

v) If you have Post qualification work experience certificate/s from previous / current employer. Where current employment certificate is not produced, the Offer of current appointment, Employee ID proof and latest pay slip should be compulsorily enclosed. 

Selection Procedure:

The selection shall be on the basis of the shortlisting of the candidates based on online examination and interview for which the total marks will be 200. The candidates have to appear for Online Examination (Objective & Descriptive) of total 150 marks of 2 hours 15 mins (135 minutes) duration. The Minimum qualifying marks in the online examination is 60% for General, OBC & EWS and 55% for SC/ST.

The application fee Rs. 200 SC/ST/PwBD and Rs. 1000 for All other categories  should be remitted through through online mode.
